We enjoyed a delightful afternoon at Vanstone Park Garden Centre on Friday afternoon with our grandchildren. It was the first time we've been. They have a small guage train ride which runs regularly, is very reasonably priced and offers a lovely ride through the woodlands. Our grandchildren absolutely loved the train ride and enjoyed two rides. They wanted more rides but the weather had turned so we went into the cafe for drinks and snacks. Our cappuccinos were really nice (they're barista cappuccinos). The cafe is a lovely inside garden room with a friendly welcoming feel. We then walked around the park and our grandchildren enjoyed a play in the little children's play area. All of the staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. We'll definitely be back!

Lovely garden centre with extras!
As well as the regular garden centre 'stuff' and cafe, there's a lake with ducks and geese plus benches to sit and relax. My 92 year old mum loved the drive out to this place, her lunch at the cafe, a mooch around the garden centre and shop, and sitting by the lake watching and listening to the birds. Lovely garden centre. It's very large with a nice walk, ducks and a train ride. There is even a play area and a cafe. Ramp access is available too if you are visiting with a pram or wheelchair. Highly recommend.
